These strips can be powered in a few different ways, depending on the number of strips and the length of each strip. Due to voltage drop-off--that is, the loss of power due to resistance in an electrical wire which causes the light to fade at a certain point--the maximum continuous length of a given strip is 32 feet. In other words, every 32 feet of strip must have its own power source. .
